Repainting A Dresser – Repainting a dresser is a great way to add color and refresh a tired bedroom. In addition, repainting an old dresser is much cheaper than buying a new one. You may be surprised at home a different wardrobe can look with a new coat of paint. The purpose of sanding is to help the paint adhere to the surface, not to remove old paint. Clean the cabinet with gauze to remove any residue and dust caused by sanding. Apply a layer of primer. Wait for the primer to dry completely before moving on to the next step otherwise the paint will not hold. Lightly sand the dresser and clean with gauze.
